polymathpaths is a place to explore where technology meets business, one question and lesson at a time. I’m learning in public because sharing the process helps ideas grow clearer—and makes the journey more useful to others.

You’ll find reflections, practical takeaways, and connections between tools, decisions, and the people they affect. The aim isn’t to have every answer, but to stay curious and learn across disciplines.

Take a look around, follow a thread that interests you, and feel free to share a question or perspective.

Where tech meets business, learned in public.

Hi, I’m James. I am a consultant and tech lead for business applications, and for more than five years I have led over 60 projects that connect technology to real business decisions. I started as a web developer, and over time my work moved from writing code to guiding teams, choosing vendors, and building platforms that help leaders decide with data.

Why Polymath Paths

A polymath knows many fields, and I am not one yet. I am walking toward it. Each field I study is a new path: technology, business, leadership, and the habits behind good work. I write what I learn every week, including my mistakes, because explaining something is the fastest way to understand it, and because I hope the notes help someone who is on a similar path.
